THE GALLERY
The main studio (The Gallery) is a two-story space with a recording mezzanine comprising a "one of a kind" solo balcony suspended above the main floor and perimeter with individual voice and/or instrument isolation booths. The main floor is large enough to accommodate a 40 piece orchestra.
A red terra cotta floor and slate-tiled diffractal ceiling enclose a truly flexible 1,077 square foot main room which can be left fully open or have hinged panels create two additional isolated recording environments. The nine-foot square cherry wood balcony juts out into and above the main recording room, creating a unique recording space as well as a breathtaking view. The balcony connects two skybox isolation spaces along the rear wall, each with glass walls and floor tiles to create unparalleled sight lines throughout the recording area.
THE POND
The Pond Studio is highlighted by three dramatically different and highly individual isolation spaces: The Cherry Room is warmly ambient and perfect for one of the studio’s two hand-picked Yamaha Conservatory Grand pianos; the Slate Room, with fast, highly energized reflections; and the Pond Room, with its electrically charged polarizing polymer windows, which overlook the sculpted horses and ponds, change from clear to translucently opaque for complete privacy at the touch of a button.
CONTROL ROOMS
The identical 21x22 foot control rooms feature a 72 input SSL 9000J equipped with Total Recall and Ultimation. The monitoring is via Coastal Acoustics Boxer T5 system.
THE MACHINE ROOM
These two magnificent studios share a common machine room which houses two Studer A827 analogue multitracks with Dolby SR. Two fully loaded Protools HDX systems are also located in the machine room. Two Studer A820 half-inch two-tracks are available for mixing. Comprehensive test and measurement equipment insures that all equipment is performing to its maximum potential.
The entire studio complex is based on interconnectivity. All technical facilities are presented on central patch bays in the machine room, offering total flexibility in accessing the major audio equipment. All audio wiring is oxygen-free Mogami cable, and the comprehensive grounding system and completely balanced analog-audio system insure signal integrity. AES digital audio is distributed via routing switchers and separate video and data cabling throughout the complex has been designed to distribute audio, video, sync, work clock and a wide range of control and communication protocols.
